“There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way.”
A sentence I recently came across that touched me deeply is:
“Life happens for us.”
This idea reflects the belief that experiences—even painful ones—can serve a greater purpose and contribute to our personal development. From this perspective, problems become challenges, and crises become invitations to pause, reflect, and grow inwardly.
What can also be derived from this is a loving view of one's own life: no circumstance—no matter how painful or burdensome it may feel—is intended as punishment. Rather, we can trust that life does not impose things on us to harm us, but to bring us into contact with an issue that needs to be seen, understood, or changed.
Not because we have done something “wrong” – but because life invites us, in its own way, sometimes quietly and sometimes very clearly, to get a little closer to ourselves.
My name is Martin Schrämli and I live in a blended family with my partner and her daughter.
I was born on August 30, 1974, and grew up in Switzerland, in the Zurich region. While my early childhood was very happy, I had great difficulty feeling like I belonged during my school years and adolescence.
For a long time, I carried the feeling of being different from others—an experience that had a profound impact on me and challenged me greatly. This resulted in depressive tendencies, and as a young adult, I experienced my first crises of meaning and life.
Early on, I began to search for answers and explore esoteric and spiritual topics. During this time, my interest in Reiki and hypnosis grew.
Music also became an important companion in my life. As a teenager and young adult, I wrote many songs, played guitar, keyboard, and bass in various bands, and sang backing vocals. Songwriting in particular had a strong therapeutic effect on me and helped me to express and process inner experiences.
Professionally, too, it was unclear for a long time where my path would lead. I found it difficult to commit myself early on, as I felt the need to make conscious and coherent decisions. So, over many years, I gained a wide range of professional experience in various activities. It was only at the age of 40 that I decided to study social work and delve deeper into coaching and systemic counselling.
During this time, I realized how important it is to muster the courage to take new steps and no longer let your own fears dictate your actions.
This idea has become an inner guiding principle for me. Today, I have fulfilled my long-standing desire for professional independence and accompany people on part of their journey. Since I myself have always been supported by coaches and therapists along the way, it fills me with great gratitude and joy to now pass on this experience.
What makes my approach special
I work with an extremely positive view of human nature and assume that every behavior—no matter how challenging it may seem—has a comprehensible origin. Understanding without judging is particularly important to me.
My high sensitivity allows me to perceive nuances, dynamics, and unspoken issues in a differentiated way. I offer these perceptions to my clients as an invitation to reflect—always mindfully and on an equal footing.
I don't see myself as someone who prescribes solutions, but rather as a companion in a process that requires courage, honesty, and personal responsibility. The goal is not quick optimization, but rather sustainable change toward greater clarity, inner stability, and a more conscious lifestyle.

What accompanies me
Music has accompanied me since my youth and for me is a form of expression, a resource, and a balancing influence. I enjoy playing acoustic and electric guitar as well as piano, and I sing— with guitar, in the car, or even at karaoke. When listening to music, I usually move between pop and rock, with a little prog rock thrown in from time to time.
In the warmer months, I enjoy being outdoors. Hiking in particular, preferably in the Zermatt region, gives me a sense of space and clarity. I also enjoy inline skating around Lake Greifensee or playing tennis. Stand-up paddleboarding has an almost meditative effect on me – especially when the water is very calm and reflects the landscape. In winter, I am drawn to the ski slopes, where exercise, nature, and sunlight come together.
In addition to all these activities, I also appreciate quiet moments, good conversations, and fine dining. A little quirk of mine: I always weigh pasta, rice, or potatoes very precisely before cooking – much to the amusement of my partner ;)
